About the Journal

The International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Allied Sciences Research (IJPASR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Allied Health Sciences.

IJPASR aims to promote scientific research and provide a global platform for researchers, academicians, clinicians, and industry professionals to publish innovative findings.

The journal publishes manuscripts in the areas including (but not limited to):
Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Clinical Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Genomics, Proteomics, Toxicology, Drug Delivery Systems, Regulatory Affairs, Healthcare Management, and allied sciences.

General Publication Policy

All manuscripts submitted to IJPASR must meet the following conditions:

  • Manuscripts must be written in English language only.
  • Manuscripts must be original, innovative, and unpublished.
  • Manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal.
  • Submission implies that all authors have approved the manuscript and agree with submission to IJPASR.
  • The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  1. Original Research Articles

Original research articles should present novel experimental or clinical research findings. The manuscript must contain sufficient information to allow reproducibility of the work.

Recommended length: up to 15 pages.

  1. Review Articles

Review articles should be comprehensive, critical, and updated surveys of recent advances in pharmaceutical and allied sciences.

Recommended length: 15–30 pages.

  1. Mini Review Articles

Mini reviews should provide brief and focused reviews on current developments.

Recommended length: 8–12 pages.

  1. Short Communications

Short communications are intended for preliminary findings, new observations, or important results requiring rapid publication.

  • No separate headings like Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion (should be written in running text).
  • Limited tables/figures are preferred.

Recommended length: up to 10 pages.

  1. Technical Notes

Technical notes should include new methods, analytical techniques, instrumentation-based findings, or innovative experimental procedures.

Recommended length: up to 4–6 pages.

  1. Case Reports (if applicable)

Case reports must present unique clinical cases, rare findings, or novel therapeutic approaches relevant to pharmacy and healthcare.

Recommended length: 5–8 pages.

Peer Review Policy

IJPASR follows a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by experts in the relevant field.

  • Manuscripts are reviewed for originality, scientific quality, clarity, methodology, and relevance.
  • Final decision is taken by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ comments.
  • The journal reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.

Plagiarism Policy

IJPASR strictly follows anti-plagiarism standards.

  • Manuscripts must be plagiarism-free.
  • Similarity should preferably be below 15% (excluding references).
  • If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.

Authors are encouraged to submit a plagiarism report along with the manuscript.

Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

File Format

  • Only MS Word format is accepted.
  • Tables, figures, and images must be embedded within the manuscript at the appropriate position.
  • Do not submit figures and tables separately unless requested.

Page Layout

  • Paper Size: A4
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Spacing: Single spaced
  • Font Style: Times New Roman
  • Page numbers: Mandatory

Font Size

  • Title: 14 pt, Bold
  • Author names: 12 pt, Bold
  • Affiliations: 11 pt
  • Headings: 12 pt, Bold
  • Sub-headings: 11 pt, Bold
  • Main text: 12 pt
  • Table text: 10 pt
  • Figure captions: 10 pt

Manuscript Order

Manuscript must be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title Page
  2. Abstract
  3. Keywords
  4. Introduction
  5. Materials and Methods
  6. Results
  7. Discussion (or Results and Discussion combined)
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgement (if any)
  10. Conflict of Interest
  11. Ethical Approval (if applicable)
  12. References

Title Page Requirements

The title page should include:

  • Full title of the manuscript (short and informative)
  • Names of all authors (initials followed by surname)
  • Author affiliations with complete address
  • Corresponding author marked with an asterisk (*)
  • Full correspondence address including email ID
  • Contact number (optional)

Example:

Abstract

  • Abstract should be between 150–250 words.
  • It should summarize objective, methodology, results, and conclusion clearly.
  • Avoid references and abbreviations in abstract.

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords immediately after the abstract.

Introduction

Introduction should provide:

  • Background and significance of study
  • Recent literature review
  • Clear objectives of the research

Materials and Methods

This section should describe:

  • Materials used
  • Study design
  • Experimental procedure
  • Statistical analysis (if applicable)

Methods should be detailed enough for reproducibility.

Results: Results must be presented clearly with appropriate tables and figures. Avoid repeating table data in text unnecessarily.

Discussion: Discussion should interpret findings scientifically and compare with previous literature. Avoid repeating introduction and results.

Conclusion: A brief conclusion must summarize major outcomes and significance of the research.

Acknowledgement: Acknowledgements may include:

  • Funding agencies
  • Institutional support
  • Technical assistance

Ethical Approval: For animal or human studies:

  • Authors must mention approval from Institutional Ethics Committee.
  • Approval number must be included in Materials and Methods section.
  • Human studies require informed consent statement.

Conflict of Interest

All authors must declare conflict of interest.
If none, mention:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Tables and Figures Guidelines

Tables

  • Must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2…)
  • Title should be placed above the table
  • Use MS Word table format only
  • Avoid very large tables

Figures

  • Must be numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2…)
  • Caption should be placed below the figure
  • Images should be clear and high resolution
  • Maximum recommended: 5 figures

Abbreviations and Units

  • Follow IUPAC guidelines for units and symbols.
  • Define abbreviations at first mention.

References Style

References must be numbered in the order cited in the text. Use Arabic numerals in superscript.
